Risk Systems — Throttle Control Panel

The final deployment authority. Where evidence becomes permission.

LOGGED

Layer 01What it consumes

Six inputs, one directive.

Gate Drawdown State routes to the correct capital-state row. Daily EV Status and Cycle P&L Direction supply tactical evidence. Open exposure metrics subtract risk already in the market. Weekly SDE permissions provide structural context — never above the gate cap. Manual override mode is the logged exception layer.

Layer 02From the manual

The smart capacity formula chain.

The eight-step chain that protects against hidden risk stacking:

  • Start with Authorized Cycle Pool % from the final tier and gate row.
  • Subtract Active Open Risk % from carryover trades → Remaining Pool Capacity %.
  • Exposure Pressure = Active Open Risk ÷ Authorized Pool (11% ÷ 29% = 37.9% — open trades consume meaningful capacity).
  • Full Throughput PT Risk = Remaining Pool ÷ Max Fresh Trades (18% ÷ 4 = 4.5% per trade).
  • Viable if Full Throughput PT Risk ≥ Min Viable Fresh PT Risk (default 3%).
  • Smart Suggested Fresh Trades: 4 if viable, otherwise INT(Remaining Pool ÷ Min Viable).
  • Smart Fresh PT Risk never exceeds the authorized tier per-trade average.
  • Output: effective fresh trades, effective PT risk, deployment pool, Total Active Risk After New Trades, and the directive.

Worked example

Drawdown from Equity Peak High routes the account into a gate. The gate then selects the throttle row, caps the maximum risk tier, sets the brake tone, and constrains which management variants are even permitted. Every deployment decision starts by reading this ladder - a good setup cannot override a restricted gate.

The seven-gate capital ladder. Each state carries its own brake meaning, tier cap, and risk authority - the marker shows an account operating in Growth.

Layer 03Override doctrine

Smart by default. Full Tier by exception.

Three throughput modes exist: Smart Capacity (default — resizes fresh deployment around open exposure), Compress Risk (forces 4 trades but compresses per-trade risk to remaining capacity), and Full Tier Risk (forces 4 trades at full authorized risk, potentially stacking exposure above the pool). The manual's strong operating rule: Full Tier override should be rare, deliberate, and documented — used casually, it defeats the entire exposure-governance system.

The governing idea

Edge cases & failure modes

Where it can mislead

  • !Casual Full Tier overrides — exposure quietly stacks above the authorized pool while the dashboard still looks compliant.
  • !Trusting a favorable Daily EV to outrank the gate: tactical evidence cannot redefine drawdown authority.
  • !Skipping the log: without the decision snapshot, you cannot later audit whether overrides, gates, and exposure decisions were coherent.
