Clean profits or lucky ones?

The review

Grading the path, not just the outcome.

Two identical weekly P&L numbers can hide opposite realities:

  • Capture efficiency shows how much of the offered move was actually kept.
  • Giveback and MAE pressure show what was surrendered and what was risked to get it.
  • Fee R drag and net outcome R show what friction took before the profit was real.

Why it matters

Low-quality alpha decays first.

Profit built on poor capture and heavy friction is the first thing variance takes back — it was never structural. Flagging it early means repair happens while the account is still green, not after the luck normalizes.

You never size the next trade as if the open ones don't exist - the most common leak in discretionary risk. Open exposure visibly consumes capacity, break-even positions stop masquerading as free, and the account never quietly stacks past its authorized posture.
