Diagnostics Engines

X-ray the
machine.

Seven engines read the machine beneath the P&L. They ask whether expectancy is decaying under profitable weeks, whether efficiency and profit still confirm each other, how hard the account is leaning on its brakes, and whether each trade was clean or merely lucky — before any of it becomes a large problem.

How MARS uses this

MARS never trusts a single blended figure. Weekly branch probabilities produce a separate EV per branch, weighted by the live profile (45 / 33.75 / 11.25 / 10 by default) into the blend. Reviews read the decomposition first: which branch produced the edge, which one leaked it, and whether the weights still match the evidence.

How it benefits you

You stop repairing the wrong thing. When results dip, the decomposition shows whether the whole system weakened or one branch is dragging - so you fix a branch instead of overhauling a working system, and you spot a single strong branch masking weakness everywhere else.

The key idea

Middle authority

They diagnose. They never grant permission.

The engines receive already-computed truth from the Journal, Weekly Summary, EV Scorecard, and Compliance Panel and turn it into structural intelligence. Their role is middle authority: above raw calculation, below hard governance. They change the operator's review posture — continue, watch, repair, or compress — but no diagnostic verdict ever overrides the Gate Map or the brake rules.

  • If a diagnostic reads constructive but the Gate Map says Floor or below, the gate wins.
  • Diagnostic optimism never unlocks capital during defensive gates.

The structure

Is the machine itself improving, holding, or weakening?

The Structural Diagnostic Engine interrogates EV, drawdown, RAER, RAPF, and acceleration with rolling windows, stability, drift, and z-scores. Structural Health composites that spine into one machine-state answer. The Regime Classification Engine gives the month a name — not whether EURUSD is trending, but the internal condition of the system itself.

The tension

When two good numbers stop agreeing.

The Contradiction Engine watches efficiency quality and profit quality for the moment they stop confirming each other — under-monetization, profit without efficiency, dual weakness. Gate Pressure and Compression track how often and how hard the account approaches defensive states, revealing capital stress before it becomes a gate transition.

The trade and the audit

04

Clean, or merely lucky — and proven, not assumed.

Execution Efficiency grades the trade lifecycle itself: MAE and MFE quality, efficiency zones, stop efficiency, and an execution grade. Certified Validation QA black-box tests the workbooks from visible inputs and outputs, because a formula that calculates but produces wrong operating behaviour is worse than an error message.

Further illustration

Each closed trade logs its worst adverse excursion and best favorable excursion. The lab plots them into quadrants and pairs the picture with capture efficiency, giveback, and fee drag - then the EV Driver Diagnostics rank which repair (entry location, coefficient, trail logic, cost avoidance) would move net expectancy most.

Every trade plotted by pain taken (MAE) versus opportunity generated (MFE). The four quadrants diagnose entry precision and exit management at a glance.
