Risk Systems

The vault has
seven locks.

Drawdown decides which ones open. Every position MARS sizes starts from one question — where does the account stand against its peak? — and each gate sets how much risk is even allowed to exist, before any setup gets a vote.

Capital-state governance

Where is your account standing right now?

Drag the drawdown. Watch the gate change, the tier ceiling fall and the cycle pool contract — the same arithmetic the vault door is lighting up.

A beautiful setup cannot open a locked gate. A green EV day cannot override drawdown authority. Capital state decides risk state — always.

The gate

Seven capital states, from Growth to System Lock.

Drawdown from Equity Peak High is not a statistic in MARS — it is a governance signal that assigns a capital-state gate. Each gate defines posture, brake tone, tier cap, and what kinds of risk expression remain permitted. A strategy can have positive EV and still be unusable if drawdown is too deep or too frequent; the gate decides whether edge may even be expressed.

The core idea

How MARS uses this

MARS is a closed loop, not a pipeline. Trades produce evidence, evidence produces weekly grades, grades move gate state, gate state feeds the throttle, and the throttle governs what the next execution is allowed to be. No stage is optional and no stage runs on memory or mood - each one reads the outputs of the stage before it.

How it benefits you

Discipline stops depending on willpower. Because every decision point consumes the previous stage's output, skipping a step becomes visible instead of invisible - and the system keeps improving itself, since every completed loop leaves the evidence base one cycle richer than it found it.

The MARS operating loop: execute, capture, score, gate, throttle, deploy - every cycle feeding evidence into the next.

In practice

T75%T616%T538%T471%T392%T287%T183%bar = tier authority · fill = modeled expected dwell given the gate historyhigh tiers exist to be rare — heavy T5–T7 dwell is aggression drift, not ambition

The seven-tier ladder with modeled dwell: how often each tier should be in use given the gate history. High tiers exist to be rare.

The tiers

Risk scales in tiers, not in moods.

T1 through T7 define escalating cycle pool sizes and per-trade risk expressions. The tier you are allowed to use is capped by gate state — a strong branch EV cannot unlock T6 logic while the gate cap says T3. Conviction cannot raise the ceiling.

The throttle

03

Where evidence becomes permission.

The Throttle Control Panel is the final deployment authority: authorized gate row, final tier, cycle pool percentage, per-trade average risk, smart exposure adjustment and the throughput directive. EV says edge exists; the gate says capital is healthy; the throttle says how much risk deploys now.

Open exposure

Open trades are not free. They consume capacity.

Many traders size the next trade as if no open risk exists. MARS refuses the fiction: if a stop has not reached break-even, that trade still burdens the account, and fresh deployment resizes around it. The Cycle Command Console keeps realized proof and active risk apart, and hands the throttle clean values.
