The HUD is a stack of independent classifications.

The lower-pane HUD draws one horizontal row per visible timeframe, each offset slightly and colored by its current phase. The pane keeps live counts of how many timeframes sit in each bucket — impulse up, impulse down, corrective up, corrective down — and a ticker summarizes the dominant side when a threshold is met. The result is a radar: multi-timeframe wave alignment visible in one glance, evolving as each frame's structure resolves.

Convergence math

A maximum, not a total — consensus, not activity.

The convergence numbers are deliberately one-sided: convergeImpulse = max(impUp, impDn) and convergeCorrect = max(corUp, corDn). Taking the maximum of the two directions rather than their sum means the score measures agreement on one side, never generic busyness across both. Three timeframes impulsing up while three impulse down is a market argument, not a convergence — and under this arithmetic it correctly scores as one, because information lives in consensus, and consensus only exists on a side.

Thresholds

MinN announces a regime. SpecialN earns the star.

Two thresholds grade the alignment:

MinN — the regular event: enough timeframes agree to call it a setup regime. Default 2.
SpecialN — the ★ event: high-conviction alignment with stronger highlight rules. Default 4.
Selective style: MinN 3 / SpecialN 5. Scalping bias: 2 / 4, leaning harder on pivot confirmation.
Thresholds must match between the HUD and the price overlay, or labels contradict the pane.

Independence requirement

Confluence only counts between structures that could disagree.

Two readings derived from the same underlying swing are one opinion wearing two labels. The concept's teeth come from independence: wave position, higher-timeframe level, and volatility posture can each contradict the others, so their agreement carries information. Confluence between correlated signals is the astrology version of the same idea.
