The requirement
Not just correct — correctly sourced.
The principle asks a stricter question than whether a number is right. It asks whether the number arrived from the layer entitled to produce it. A dashboard figure that happens to be accurate while being derived from the wrong tab has passed a correctness check and failed a routing check, and it will continue to be accurate exactly until the two layers diverge — at which point it becomes wrong with no change to any formula and no visible cause. Routing is a structural property, checked by tracing rather than by comparing, which is why it needs its own principle instead of being folded into general accuracy.
All three produce a plausible number in the expected place. None of them can be detected by looking at the value — only by asking where it came from.
