ATR BE Assistant · Session Interplay

Regime plus session decides everything downstream.

How MARS uses this

MARS treats confluence as evidence quality: when independent structures - wave counts, higher-timeframe levels, volatility posture - converge on the same zone, the setup earns a higher evidence grade and access to fuller deployment. Isolated signals remain tradeable but are sized as the weaker evidence they are.

How it benefits you

Setup quality becomes a graded input instead of a binary feeling. Your best-evidenced trades systematically carry more of the risk budget, marginal trades stop consuming full-size authority, and 'A+ setup' finally has a definition that survives review.

Reference

Every governing metric is tracked as a rolling series with stability bands and a z-score against its own history. Readings inside the band are treated as variance and left alone; sustained drift toward the outer bands raises a structural flag that outranks the P&L column.

A rolling metric leaving its normal band: inside ±1σ is weather; a sustained walk toward −2σ is climate - and climate gets flagged.

Session interplay

Regime plus session decides everything downstream.

The switch is deliberately binary, but its output cascades: it selects the branch family, the break-even level, whether trailing logic activates, and which volatility tools engage. Out-of-session hours default to Normal handling regardless of ATR state, because trend continuation without session participation is a trap.

  • Trend classification requires both conditions: elevated ATR regime AND in-session — never one alone.
  • The regime read is captured into the Journal as ATR State, making regime-conditional performance auditable later.
  • Downstream chain: regime → branch → BE level → coefficient tools → checkpoint flags — one switch, five consequences.

Where it lives

Inside ATR BE Assistant.

Within ATR BE Assistant, this is one load-bearing idea — worth its own page. The parent module frames it this way: The ATR BE Assistant is the binary regime switch at the root of MARS trade management. Normal regime (or out of session): break-even at 1.4R with a static 2R runner. Trend regime in session: break-even at 1.6R with ATR-trail continuation logic.

The two-key lock

Regime and session must both turn before doctrine applies.

An Expanded reading during the London open and the same reading in the Asian drift are different management environments, and the assistant treats them so: doctrine selection keys on the regime-session pair, not the regime alone. The two-key design prevents the classic error of applying high-energy management to low-energy hours.
