How MARS uses this
Every workbook in MARS belongs to one of three layers. The evidence core records and grades what actually happened; the deployment rail converts capital state into governed risk; context and validation engines judge whether the environment and the structure can be trusted. Data crosses layers on defined rails - never informally.
How it benefits you
Eleven workbooks stay one coherent machine instead of a folder of spreadsheets. You always know which layer a number came from and which layer it is allowed to influence - so evidence informs, authority governs, and experiments never contaminate live rules.

TEX — Expectancy
Monte Carlo says what should happen; expectancy says what is happening. If live EV exceeds the model while drawdown stays controlled, that is where genuine alpha begins — but EV never stands alone. RAPF, RAER, and ACCEL must confirm it.
Where it lives
Within The Name, this is one load-bearing idea — worth its own page. The parent module frames it this way: Montex AlphaRail is a compact expression of the system's architecture: Monte Carlo provides the benchmark ruler, expectancy grades live performance, alpha is outperformance earned cleanly, and the rails keep behavior aligned with the envelope.
The live grader
Backtests grade the past; account balances grade luck as often as skill. Expectancy is the one metric that grades the machine continuously, in R, net of friction, at a cadence fast enough to steer by. It earned the name's final syllable by being the number every other number in MARS ultimately reports to.
