The missing column

The comparison table has no row for execution difficulty.

Variant profiles report expectancy, drawdown behaviour, and risk-adjusted efficiency. None of those columns describes what the variant asks of the operator, and the ask differs sharply between them. A structure that takes partials early and mechanically requires very little in the moment. A structure that holds runners for fat-tail outcomes requires watching open profit retrace repeatedly without intervening. Both appear in the table as a set of numbers, and only one of them is difficult to actually do. The omission is not an oversight in the tooling — execution demand is not a property of the variant that any simulation could measure, because it is a property of the pairing between the variant and the person.

Where the gap opens

The accelerator variants ask the most and reward the least reliably.

The pattern is consistent. The true fat-tail accelerator earns its result from a small number of large outcomes, which means most individual trades feel like they were mismanaged — profit is given back, over and over, in exchange for the occasional trade that runs. The arithmetic works and the experience is punishing. An operator who takes an early partial on the third such trade has not run the variant that was tested; they have run a hybrid nobody profiled, and its expectancy is unknown.

The failure is quiet

A partially executed variant reports as the variant it was meant to be.

This is what makes the error expensive. The record still says the account is running Trend No-Partial, because that is what was selected. The deviations are individual decisions, each of them defensible on its own day, and none of them announces itself as a departure from the structure. The result is a live performance record attributed to a variant that was never actually run — and when that record is later compared against its profile, the disagreement will be blamed on the model rather than on the execution. The model will be adjusted, the deviation will persist, and the next comparison will run on inputs that have quietly been fitted to behaviour nobody examined.

The right input

Use the record, not the intention.

The question is not whether the operator believes they can run the structure. It is whether the evidence shows they have. The variant usage audit exists to answer this: it shows which structures were actually deployed, how often each was used, and where the usage pattern departs from the plan. An operator whose record shows repeated early exits on runner variants has been told something specific about which structure fits them, and it is more reliable than any prediction they would make about themselves.

The correct trade-off

A slightly worse variant that is fully executed beats a better one that is not.

This is the conclusion, and it is uncomfortable because it involves deliberately declining the top-ranked option. If the comparison shows a modest advantage for the harder structure, and the record shows that structure has never been run cleanly for a full quarter, the honest choice is the one that will be executed as designed. Its measured expectancy is achievable. The other variant's is theoretical for this operator, and a theoretical advantage does not compound. The decision should be recorded with its reasoning, so a later reviewer does not read the selection as an error against the comparison table sitting beside it.

It is not permanent

Execution capacity is evidence, and evidence changes.

None of this fixes an operator at their current level. Execution capacity improves, and the record shows that too — a quarter of clean adherence to a demanding structure is exactly the evidence that would justify moving to it. The instruction is to select on demonstrated capability rather than intended capability, and to revisit the selection when the demonstration changes. What is being ruled out is choosing the hardest variant on the strength of a plan to become the kind of operator who could run it.
